Be conversational and friendly without being frivolous.

  • Write accessibly, for a global audience.

  • Write assertively, in the indicative and imperative moods.

  • Never say simply, only or just (in the context of trivialising effort), merely, obviously or anything to suggest the user is at fault for not understanding, or to trivialise the process, such as That’s it! or You’re done!
